Our client, a Mining Company, is urgently seeking for:
PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTIC DEPARTMENT HEAD
Main Accountabilities:
To coordinate the development of the company’s yearly procurement plan and to ensure management approval
Review and evaluate procurement policies as well to ensure its implementation throughout every work unit so al procurement processes can run effectively
To overseas procurement requirements to ensure procurement activities run well and as according to the prevailing policies
To analyse and evaluate inventory and goods requirements, procurement lead time and costs to ensure goods and services procurement run according to plan as well as forming a basis for recommending a more effective and efficient procurement strategy
To negotiate the procurement of goods and services required for operational activities
To evaluate vendors / suppliers with regards to the implementation of service level agreement strategy for the entire procurement process of goods and services as well as to provide a recommendation regarding it s feasibility to ensure that the company cooperates with the appropriate parties as according to predetermined standards
To establish and maintain long term partnership as well as to perform vendor development programs by developing vendor classifications, providing reward and punishment systems in order to enhance the quality of vendors
Monitor inventory min and max levels to ensure they meet the organizational requirements. Ensure that inventory levels are maintained at desirable levels using the EOQ principles
To analyse and evaluate routine reports, develop improvement plans as well as to make decisions to develop a better inventory management system
Assist with preparation of yearly “Master List”, reporting requirements and import arrangements
Ensure logistics for domestics and international goods are arranged for the most effect and efficient outcomes
